Melanie is internationally experienced senior executive leader with over two decades working at the intersection of community, government, philanthropy, not-for-profit service delivery, academia, and the private sector.
She believes that when we centre care, equity, and imagination, we unlock the collective power of communities to enable meaningful, intergenerational change.
Melanie brings a distinctive blend of strategic policy capability, design-led participatory practice, and systems stewardship to complex reform and transformation efforts across Australia, Japan, and the UK. She currently works in NSW government to build strong, connected and resilient communities, having previously worked with The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI), Barnardo’s UK, and the Designing Out Crime Research Centre at UTS and held board-level and advisory roles unlocking opportunities for people and planet.
