How we track our $500 million Moonshot
By 2030, Sefa aims to help unlock $500 million for social good.
Reaching this goal relies on more than Sefa funding alone. We work alongside investors, philanthropists, governments and other partners to bring different sources of capital together, often in impact stacks, to help community organisations access the funding, support and pathways they need to grow their impact.
To measure our progress, we track both the finance Sefa provides directly and the capital that reaches impact-led organisations because of Sefa's involvement, whether that's through structuring deals, introducing partners, building investment and contract readiness, or bringing different sources of capital together.
This includes:
Loans provided by Sefa
Co-investment and syndicated finance
Philanthropic and government funding secured alongside investment
Capital unlocked through guarantees and blended finance structures
Investment readiness and capability funding
Social procurement contracts
Equity, debt and other finance secured through Sefa-facilitated partnerships and connections
Tracking these different forms of capital helps us understand how effectively we're helping impact-led organisations access the resources they need to grow and deliver positive outcomes for their communities.
Our goal is to reach our moonshot while building a clearer picture of the total capital flowing to impact-led organisations with Sefa's support, and the contribution that we make to a stronger impact economy.
